Joins us for a 2-hour workshop designed for women who are ready to reconnect with their bodies and restore a sense of safety and empowerment. Led by Dr. Mariana Gisele, Clinical Psychologist, and Rachel Graves, Licensed Professional Counselor, this workshop provides a supportive, trauma-informed environment where participants will learn foundational tools for nervous system and emotional regulation.
You will gain insight into common trauma responses, such as fight, flight, freeze, and fawn. Rather than focusing solely on retelling past experiences, this workshop emphasizes tuning into physical sensations—like tension, tightness, or restlessness—to begin gently releasing stress that may be held in the nervous system.
Understanding your nervous system is a key part of healing from trauma. When you've experienced overwhelming or threatening events, your body can stay "stuck" in patterns of stress—even long after the danger has passed. This can show up as anxiety, difficulty relaxing, feeling emotionally numb, being easily overwhelmed, or struggling in relationships.
Somatic (body-based) approaches help you gently reconnect with your body in a safe and supportive way. By learning how your nervous system works—and how it reacts to stress—you can begin to recognize your own patterns and learn tools to bring yourself back to a sense of calm and control.
This kind of healing isn’t just about talking or thinking differently—it’s about feeling differently in your body. When your nervous system feels safe and regulated, it's easier to feel grounded, make clearer choices, and connect more deeply with yourself and others.
You don’t need to be a trauma survivor to benefit from nervous system regulation. Everyday stress—from work, relationships, parenting, or major life changes—can leave your body feeling anxious, overwhelmed, or shut down. Learning how your nervous system works provides practical tools to manage stress, stay grounded under pressure, improve sleep and mood, and respond more calmly to life’s challenges.
These skills aren’t just for healing—they’re essential for thriving.
Whether you are just beginning your healing journey, seeking to deepen your current process, or looking to enhance your emotional well-being this experience offers practical strategies and meaningful emotional insight in a compassionate and empowering space.
Meet your Facilitators:
Dr. Mariana Gisele is a licensed Clinical Psychologist and certified Somatic Experiencing® practitioner with over five years of experience integrating somatic approaches into trauma treatment. She served as a Clinical Psychologist in the United States Air Force from 2014 to 2018 before transitioning to private practice, where she has focused on the evaluation and treatment of trauma, particularly among military Veterans. Over the past three years, Dr. Mariana has concentrated her advanced training and clinical work on the unique experiences of trauma in women, with an emphasis on the mind-body-spirit connection in healing. Dr. Mariana views her role not as someone who “fixes,” but as a guide—much like a sherpa—walking alongside her clients and offering tools as they do the work of healing themselves. She believes that none of us are broken; rather, healing is a natural process we are all meant to experience. In her work, she fosters a space where clients see symptoms not as problems to eliminate, but as messengers calling us back to our true Self. From this perspective, illness becomes a teacher, and life’s challenges, however difficult, become opportunities for wholeness and self-discovery.
Rachel Graves is a Licensed Professional Counselor with seven years of experience in the mental health field. She is trained in evidence-based trauma modalities, including Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). Rachel’s therapeutic approach is grounded in the belief that, when provided with a safe and supportive environment, individuals are capable of gaining insight, breaking free from harmful patterns, and moving toward healing and growth. She is committed to fostering a nonjudgmental, collaborative space where clients feel empowered to explore their experiences and build meaningful, lasting change.
